TCL will be launching 3 devices as part of the Key2 family through Amazon: BlackBerry Key2 LE, BlackBerry Key2 Black Edition and the BlackBerry Key2 Red Edition.
“We are thrilled to be able to make the full BlackBerry KEY2 range available to Australian consumers via Amazon. We have listened to consumer feedback and have been working hard behind the scenes to be able to accommodate Aussie BlackBerry fans, providing them with all the options for getting the iconic BlackBerry device that best suits their lifestyle,” said VP and Managing Director for Alcatel Mobile, South East Asia Pacific, Sam Skontos
When it comes to the specs we’re looking at a 4.5-inch LCD display paired with the BlackBerry’s signature keyboard.
The entry-level LE has a Snapdragon 636 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage and a 3,000mAH battery. It also contains a dual camera setup (13MP and 5MP) at the rear. It’s going to come into market at $799.
The Key2 Black Edition has the same RAM and storage options but has an upgraded Snapdragon 660 processor, 3,500mAH battery and dual 12MP camera lenses on the rear of the device.
Despite being relatively mid-range, this is going to set you back $1,190. There’s no denying that’s a lot, but we also know you BlackBerry fans froth this form factor so no hate.
And then there’s the super shiny Key2 Red Edition. It brings most of the same specs to the table as the Black Edition but has 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. It comes in at $1,390 which is admittedly a bit yikes.
But hey, if you’ve been busting for a Key2 since last year you don’t have much longer to wait. TCL’s BlackBerry Key2 series will be available from Amazon Australia in mid-July.
