After rolling out the MIUI 10 Global Stable ROM update for the Redmi 3S, Redmi 3S Prime ₹ 6,699, and Redmi 4 ₹ 4,899, Xiaomi is now rolling out a new MIUI 10 Global Beta Stable V10.1.2.0.OCKMIFI update for Redmi 5A ₹ 6,298 users. This update is based on Android Oreo and is being pushed out to random users first, and later will be rolled out commercially. To recall, the MIUI 10 Global Stable ROM V10.1.1.0.NCKMIFI for Redmi 5A was rolled out last month, and it brought along the new full screen UI experience, natural sound system, and redesigned system apps as well.
The new MIUI 10 Global Beta Stable V10.1.2.0.OCKMIFI for Redmi 5A has been announced on the MIUI forums, and is currently being pushed to random users. The update is rolling out via OTA, and the changelog hasn’t been mentioned by the moderator. If all goes well, Xiaomi will push the Global Stable ROM update soon for all Redmi 5A users. As is the case with all beta stable release, no download links are published, and users are not recommended to download the update via unofficial links as well.
Separately, Xiaomi has also released MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM 8.12.13 update for several devices. It is being rolled out to Redmi 3S, Redmi 3S Prime, Redmi Note 4, Redmi Note 3, Redmi 4, Mi Max, Mi Max Prime, Redmi 4A, Redmi 5A, Redmi Note 4X, Mi Max 2, Redmi Y1 ₹ 8,985, Redmi Y1 Lite ₹ 7,487, Redmi Note 5, Mi Mix 2, Mi 5, Redmi Y2 ₹ 9,636, Redmi Note 5 Pro, Poco F1, Redmi 6, Redmi 6A, Redmi 6 Pro, and Redmi Note 6 Pro users.
Xiaomi has provided Recovery ROM and Fastboot ROM links for all the devices mentioned for those who’d wish to sideload or flash. You can find all the links here. The update brings a new design for the App section in Settings, fixes screen flickering issues, slow touchscreen responses on the Poco F1, and more.
