The FitRist fitness smart band features a 0.86-inch OLED display with a 96×32 pixels resolution and packs in a number of health and fitness features such as calorie counter, step monitoring, distance measurement and monitoring of quality of sleep. The fitness band comes with Bluetooth 4.0 and can be paired with Android (version 4.3 and above) and iOS (version iOS 7 and above) devices. Once it is connected, the fitness band can display your notifications on its OLED display besides showing the health statistics.
The affordable band comes with a Remote Shutter feature that helps controls the mobile camera directly from the band itself and can also be used to remotely control the music on your smartphone. Intex said that the FitRist is backed by a long-lasting battery, which as per company claims can last for up to 12 days on single charge. Matching the market standards, FitRist is water-resistant and splash proof to prevent damage from rains and accidental spills.
It is interesting to see another domestic manufacturer step up in the affordable smart accessory market, which is quite new but attracts a good number of buyers because of their low price point.
While we were impressed with what Mi Band offered at that price but the Yu Fit did not live up to its expectation. It is noteworthy, that this is not the first time that Intex is dipping its feet in the wearable market. The iRist smartwatch from the company was a disappointment. It was more of a phone on your wrist and less of a watch. Moreover, its display was one of its weakest point because of poor touch sensitivity that forces users to make multiple attempts to register an input. Stay tuned for more updates on Intex FitRist smart band.
