Although Micromax is preparing the launch a couple of high end smartphones, but there’s no denying that the company is also equally focused on budget friendly handsets. Evidence to this fact is the manufacturer’s new Canvas Nitro 2 smartphone, which was unveiled sporting a price tag of Rs 10,399.
The Canvas Nitro 2 E311 comes with an HD resolution display and features a Mediatek made octa-core mobile processor, making it an attractive proposition for interested customers.
Unfortunately, the smartphone is running Android 4.4 KitKat and not Android 5.0, which is perhaps the only downside of this device. Most budget devices like the Lenovo A7000, the 2nd gen Moto E etc are running Lollipop out of the box and cost less money than the Canvas Nitro 2, so we’re hoping Micromax rethinks the pricing to make it more appealing to the buyers.
The smartphone will be sold across a variety of online retailers without any of the exclusivity brouhaha, although it’s only available through Infibeam as of now.
The Canvas Nitro A311 is currently selling for Rs 9,999 via online retailers, so there isn’t a lot of disparity in the pricing between the two phones. We won’t be surprised if Micromax decides to replace the A311 with the newly launched E311 mod
