The new Zenfone 4 models will not be unveiled until August 17, but the company’s online shop jumped the gun and released specs and images of the Zenfone 4 Selfie ZD553KL and Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro ZD552KL (not to be confused with Zenfone 4 Pro). The Selfie duo has something in common – a dual selfie camera.
The Pro model means business with a 24MP + 5MP front camera, while the regular Selfie has a 20MP + 8MP setup. Both cameras have a field of view of 120° and a dedicated selfie flash on the front. The rear camera feels plain by comparison – a single 16MP shooter.

Both Zenfone 4 Selfie models have metal frames holding a 5.5”. The Pro should have an 1080p AMOLED screen while the regular Selfie settles for 720p IPS LCD. They have the same memory capacity – 4GB RAM + 64GB storage – and you get a dedicated microSD slot even though the phones are dual SIM. They even have the same 3,000mAh battery.
So what’s different, other than the camera and screen? The chipset – the Zenfone 4 Selfie gets Snapdragon 430, the Selfie Pro has the much more agreeable Snapdragon 625. The Pro is also thinner (7mm vs. 7.85mm).

This comes at quite a cost, though. The Selfie will be €300 in Europe, the Selfie Pro goes up to a hefty €400.
