Sony has announced its Xperia M4 Aqua in India today. The smartphone was first showcased at the Mobile World Congress. May people were disappointed as they were expecting to see the next flagship from Sony at that stage and were treated to the Xperia M4 Aqua instead.
We are already aware that the M series for Sony stands for its midrange offering and that is where the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua resides. However, the smartphone manages to stand out in regards to its looks. Encased in plastic the phone itself looks like it’s made of metal – even when viewed rather closely.

The other notable specifications of the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua are 720p screen, 8GB of storage (of which around 4GB is user accessible), a 13MP Exmor RS rear camera and 2,400mAh battery. Also to please the selfie lovers, the Xperia M4 Aqua offers a wide angle 5MP camera on the front for improved selfies. In addition to all the smartphone is water and dust proof too.
It is powered by 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Octa Core processor and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop right out of the box.
The Sony Xperia M4 is priced at Rs 23,990 available across the country from today onwards.
Sony has added another Xperia product today and launched alongside the M4 Aqua is the selfie-focused Xperia C4. This one sports a phablet-like 5.5-inch fullHD 1920x1080p resolution, also running over Android 5.0 Lollipop flavour. Sony has opted to go with Mediatek MT6752 octa-core CPU with 2GB RAM and offering 16GB storage with the Xperia C4.
