From March 28 – April 3, 2016, U.S. brands and properties captured 467 million total actions (likes, shares, comments) from Facebook posts. Powered by Shareablee data, the top brand on Facebook for each respective industry is shown in the ranking below. Tasty (Media Publisher) topped the ranking with nearly 10.8 million Facebook actions, with shares accounting for 38% of its Facebook actions. Tasty’s top shared posts were video recipe tutorials for Spinach Dip Mozzarella Sticks, Chocolate Covered Cheesecake Bites and Boozy Bubbly Sherbet Punch. NBA (Sports) scored the second top spot with more than 2.7 million actions driven by posts featuring the Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs and March’s blooper reel.
Of the top performing brands, Tesla Motors (Automotive) saw the highest growth in Facebook actions over the previous week at 220%, driven by a 60% increase in posts and 398% increase in shares. This growth was driven by the auto brand’s introduction of its Model 3 and links to preorder.
