Sony enters portable mobile projector market with MP-CL1,
priced at Rs 26,990
Sony today entered the Portable Mobile Projector market with the launch of MP-CL1. The handheld projector is priced at Rs 26,990 and uses a laser light source to deliver HD resolution images (1920 x 720) with high contrast (80,000:1) for accurate colour rendition.

Sony MP-CL1 comes with an aluminum body with a matte finish and features a built-in 3400mAh battery unit that as per the company allows up to 120 minutes of HD resolution playback. The pocket-sized mobile projector can display a screen size of up to 120-inches at a distance of 3.45 metres and also comes packed with a built-in speaker. It can serve the purpose of displaying content from smartphones or tablets and can come real handy for home and mobile entertainment and to deliver business presentations.

The MP-CL1 has a number of connection options. You can connect it to a source via HDMI or use the MHL cable to connect it with a smartphone or tablet. At the same time, its built-in screen Mirroring function allows you to wirelessly mirror content from a smartphone, tablet device or PC via Wi-Fi.

The portable projector uses Sony’s Laser Beam Scanning (LBS) technology to project images in HD resolution even on uneven surfaces. Sony said that the projector is equipped with auto focus and can keep constant, uninterrupted focus at various distances without the need for manual adjustments. Moreover, the manual Key Stone Correction feature maintains screen uniformity, both vertically and horizontally, despite angled surfaces.

Sony is offering an HDMI to mini-HDMI adapter, micro-USB cable and a detachable two-way stand with the projector.
