The announcement date of Meizu’s latest MX5 flagship is fast approaching, and with it the leaks keep on trickling down the rumor pipe. The latest installment shows that Meizu will be equipping the phone with the so-called mCharge tech, allegedly some sort of fast charging, which will be able to juice it up to 25% in ten minute’s time only. Topping it off to 60% will require a half hour more, it seems. The phone will also come with the newest Flyme 5.0 Android overlay of Meizu, which has been given a visual overhaul with transparency, glass effects, themes, and more.
The Meizu MX5 is expected to offer a 5.5″ panel with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. A 64-bit MediaTek MT6795T SoC is under the hood, which contains a true octa-core CPU, and the PowerVR G6200 GPU, coupled with 3 GB of RAM. While the amount of internal storage is not known, it will be expandable thanks to the included 128GB capacity microSD slot. A 20 MP rear camera is on board, employing a Sony sensor, and a 3150mAh battery will reportedly keep the lights on.
