Back in August 2015, Lenovo teased a Pro version of the Vibe P1 handset and the device was even featured in a rather extensive hands-on photo session. However, a lot of time passed since then with practically no word on the upgraded model, up until today, when the learn that the device was quietly made official under the P1 Turbo moniker.
Despite the name change the official specs match up almost perfectly with the suggested ones from last year. The Vibe P1 Turbo is equipped with a 5.5-inch FullHD display and runs on a Snapdragon 615 chip. It has 3GB of RAM, although some sources suggest 2GB. Built-in storage is 32GB, with a MicroSD card slot for up to 128GB more.
The centerpiece of the P1 Turbo is the large 5,000 mAh battery, which supports the 24W Quick Charge 2.0. The camera setup consists of a 13MP main shooter with a dual-LED flash and a 5MP one on the front. The P1 Turbo also has Dual-SIM support and LTE. A fingerprint reader is also on board. Interestingly enough, the phone is said to boot the slightly outdated Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
The handset is up for pre-order now for IDR 3.999.000 (around €263) and color options include Silver, Graphite Gray and Gold.
