HTC One X10 leaked, stylish design and big battery expected

HTC One X10 which had surfaced in live images back in February 2017 has now been leaked in a poster which reveals a couple of highlights of the upcoming smartphone from the Taiwanese giant. Courtesy of Evan Blass (@eveleaks) on Twitter, the poster reads that the new HTC X10 will brag a ‘big style’ and will pack in a ‘bigger battery’. We don’t know the exact figures about the battery yet but HTC is surely playing with its forte in the smartphone space i.e. the ‘design’. The device will be the successor to the HTC One X9 which was launched last year for about Rs 20,000.

The device was previously surfaced in live images which showed a fingerprint scanner at the back, which is very unlike-HTC, engraved over what looked like a metal unibody shell. Diving into this shell, some previous rumours revealed that the device will come with a 5.5-inch Full HD (1080p) display, 3GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage which will be expandable further. Also, the device will be powered by a 2.2 GHz MediaTek 6755 Helio P10 chipset. For the camera, the rumour hinted that it might come with a 16-megapixel rear camera along with an 8-megapixel front camera.

Based on the specifications, the new One X10 looks to be a mid-range device and is likely to be priced similarly to that of last year’s One X9. This is in line with a recent statement from HTC where it pour-in its thoughts to cut back on entry-level smartphones and concentrate more on the mid-range and flagship devices. HTC has been struggling a lot with its devices lately pricing the device too high for a price elastic market like India. Further, with various Chinese players pushing out similar devices with a much lower price, HTC would really need to come up with something special with an impressive price for its upcoming devices in India.
