Multiple Google Nexus 6 users from around the world are currently experiencing LTE outages. In the US, Shamu’s problems appear to be limited to T-Mobile’s network, but the same issue has been reported by users on a range of carriers from across the globe.
On Reddit, Nexus 6 owners from countries such as the US, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Finland, Sweden, Germany, and Hong Kong have reported that their Google Nexus 6 is unable to use their carrier’s LTE network.
At the moment, the source of this problem has yet to be identified. Initially, it was believed that the August Android Security Patch is the culprit. Later on, however, it was discovered that Nexus 6 owners on both the August and the July Android security patches are experiencing data outages, as are users running both stock and aftermarket Android ROMs. It should be noted that not all Nexus 6 owners are experiencing data outages. Hopefully, Google and the carriers can provide a solution in a timely manner.
