3D renders of the LG G5 made by Techconfigurations from diagrams of the phone and cases for the device
Just a few days ago, images of some cases for the LG G5 were discovered. They confirmed that LG had moved the volume controls away from the back of the phone and placed it on the left side. Also revealed was the the dual camera system that is employed on the back of the phone, and the fingerprint scanner that is placed under the rear cameras.
Technoconfigurations used the diagrams and images of the cases that were released, to come up with some 3D renderings of the LG G5. You can check them out in the slideshow and in the accompanying video.
According to Technoconfigurations, the LG G5 will feature a 5.6-inch screen with a 1440 x 2560 resolution. The Snapdragon 820 SoC is under the hood carrying a quad-core CPU and the Adreno 530 GPU. 4GB of RAM is inside and the dual cameras on back will be 16MP and 8MP. This should allow users to change the field of focus after the photo is snapped, similar to a Lytro camera. We should also hear about support for 4K video and OIS. The front-facing camera will weigh in at 8MP. The phone will sport a Type-C USB port and will be slightly thinner than its predecessor at 8.2mm.
LG is holding an event on February 21st, possibly to unveil the LG G5. Samsung is expected to unveil the Samsung Galaxy S7 on the same date, which is the day before MWC kicks off in Barcelona.
