According to a new report, Lenovo will launch the new K3 Note smartphone in India this month for an undisclosed price. It is said that the smartphone could cost under Rs 10,000, which is a fair assumption to make given its pricing in China.
The K3 Note is a true budget handset and could shake up the market to a great extent. The company has the likes of the A7000 in the same price bracket, so it will be interesting to see how the company will price the K3 Note.
It must be noted that for the aforementioned price range, the Lenovo K3 Note could be the cheapest 1080p smartphone to be available in India, which will be a major selling point for Lenovo when the device is unveiled later this month.
This could stand in direct competition to Micromax and its YU products, which have managed to build decent traction in the budget segment thanks to a number of factors including its partnership with Cyanogen.
Hardware specifications of the Lenovo K3 Note:
· 5.5-inch 1080p display
· 8mm
· 150 grams

Lenovo is yet to confirm its launch plans for the Indian market, but we think it should be available in a week or two if this report is anything to go by. We’ll keep an eye out and keep you posted on any new information we have on the K3 Note
