mothers-day-doodle

Google has dedicated a doodle to mothers all over the world to mark Mother’s Day. The doodle today showcases a mother’s unconditional love for her children.

The doodle not just showcases the love in human world but also in the animal world. From cubs, to little swans, to little rabbits, the doodle shows how every mom irrespective of species, loves their kids unconditionally. Mother’s Day came into existence in the US after Anna Jarvis started a campaign in 1908 to make the day a recognized holiday. It was only in 1914, that it was recognized as a holiday in the US. Different countries celebrate Mother’s Day on different days. For countries like India, Canada, Australia, and Brazil, it is celebrated on the second Sunday of May.

The second ‘O’ of the word Google is animated. The animation starts by showing a duck taking care of her duckling, followed by a tiger. The animated doodle then turns into a mother rabbit, which shows her four kids jump and play. Finally, it turns into a child who is running towards his mother, with a flower in hand.
